Overall: K-12 district leaders’ concern about a potential cyberattack in their district has increased since 2021. Technology leaders show a 22% increase, while district leaders show a 114% increase.
Despite higher awareness, K-12 districts are not fully onboard yet with recommended steps to address cyber threats.
67% of respondents to the survey indicate that the primary responsibility for cybersecurity in their district is exclusively falls in the IT department. 32% stated that it is a shared responsibility by the district leadership team.
